Base44 Explainer

Base44’s style had been taking over my feed. They build AI that makes websites and apps, and I kept catching their ads on YouTube, the kind you don’t skip because the craft holds you there a second longer than it should.

I didn’t have a brief or a client. I just wanted to see what I’d do with it.

The decision I made early was that it shouldn’t sell a SaaS. Most product videos in this space are a features checklist with music on top, and they all blur into one. This one needed to tell a story instead: a shape with a beginning and a middle and somewhere to arrive, where the product shows up because the story needs it rather than because a bullet point said so.

Two days of work. Pacing, motion, getting the story beats to land where they should.

I posted it on Instagram and it hit 20k views. The part that mattered more came after: clients started messaging asking for that exact style in their own videos.
